About me
Lorenzo Liberali, Italian baritone born in Pavia in 1994, graduated with top marks in Opera Singing from the “Antonio Vivaldi” Conservatory in Alessandria. He is the winner of the 2026 AsLiCo Competition.
He furthered his training at the Rossini Academy “Alberto Zedda” in Pesaro and at the “Bottega Donizetti” of the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo. He studied with Pietro Spagnoli and Alessandro Corbelli.
In the 2025/26 season, he will appear as Haly in L’italiana in Algeri at the Teatro Coccia di Novara, as the Marchese d’Obigny in La traviata at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara and the Teatro Galli in Rimini, and as Dum and Ghiro in Pierangelo Valtinoni’s Alice in Wonderland at the Teatro Sociale di Rovigo and on tour. In the 2026/27 season, he will perform the role of Taddeo in L’italiana in Algeri with OperaLombardia.
Recent engagements include Dottor Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (Damiano Michieletto’s production) in Aosta; Mr. Gobineau in The Medium at the Mascagni Festival; Marullo in Rigoletto for OperaLombardia; Montano in Otello at the Teatro Coccia di Novara and the Teatro Sociale di Rovigo; and the Sacristan in Tosca in San Gimignano.
His repertoire also includes Ormondo in L’inganno felice (Teatro Coccia di Novara); Antonio in Il viaggio a Reims (Rossini Opera Festival, Pesaro); Enrico in L’isola disabitata by Manuel García (Rossini in Wildbad Festival); Marco in Gianni Schicchi (Teatro Coccia di Novara); Riccardo in Napoli Milionaria (Teatro del Giglio, Lucca, and in Pisa and Livorno); Simone in L’aio nell’imbarazzo (Donizetti Festival); Dottor Balanzone in Mascagni’s Le maschere (Illica Festival); and Belcore in L’elisir d’amore for VoceAllOpera.
He is also the winner of the 2025 “Voci Mascagnane” Competition (awarded three special prizes), the Sordello Competition, the SOI “F. Cedolins” Competition, and the International Opera Competition “Città di Ferrara”.
